Alimar Paranormal

Last night, just before bed, Mary reminded me that I had left the PC on in the office.  As I stood in front of the desk, waiting for the PC to power down, I was suddenly startled by both a sensation, and a sound. The sound was a loud, quick SNAP! and the feeling was a kind of thump that I felt through the palm of my left hand that was resting on the edge of the desk.  Looking around for what could have possibly made the sound and the sensation, I spied my yellow and metal 25 foot automatic tape measure that was resting about 10 inches from my left hand.  Trying to recreate what I had heard and felt, I pulled the tape out about 5 inches and let it snap back into place, while resting the edge of my left palm on the desk.  Yes, that was it!  Only a little stronger.  Calling Mary into the room, I told her what had just happened, and asked to her try recreating it for me.  And sure enough, with my palm resting firmly on the desk, I immediately recognized the sound and sensation as the tape flew back into its casing.  Wow!  “Someone” had pulled the tape out and allowed it to snap back into its place.  Only Mary and I were the only “someones” in the house, so it had to be one of our “guests”.  Wow.  Imagine how much energy that must have taken to do such a thing.  Amazing.
