Date of Dream: 7/25/2009
It was the weekend, Mary was at work, and I was in the bedroom sleeping. Suddenly some electronic device came on all by itself (maybe the t.v.?), waking me up. I looked towards the end of the bed, and one of the desk chairs was sitting opposite it. And the right arm rest had been removed, and was sitting on the seat of the chair. Apparently the chair had rolled from either the living room or the office to the bedroom. I put two and two together and assumed one of our “guests”, was trying to get my attention. I decided I would tell Mary about it when she got home from work.
I then laid back down and fell back asleep, only to be awoken by the sound of another chair moving across the hardwood floor. I looked towards the foot of the bed again, and saw a second chair beside the first one. It too had its right arm rest removed, and was sitting in the seat of the chair.
Thinking this quite odd, I started to get up out of bed to investigate further, and heard the sound of a third chair rolling across the hard wood flooring, and rushed into the living room to see if I could catch the perpetrator in action. And to my surprise, it was Mary!
Possible Interpretation:
Chair: If offered a chair (as Mary was sending the chair in my direction), you should be open to suggestions and advice.
Arm (of chair): associated with one’s outgoing nature
Bed: Offers you security that you may be lacking in your life, or it may be indicative of making friends too fast, and speaks of caution in affairs.
After discussing the dream with Mary (and the interpretation of the symbols), she admitted that she was feeling insecure about my Facebook account .. and wanted me to stop using it.
