This morning as I was driving into work, and in the middle of prayer for my Mom, I suddenly started hearing a sound coming from the passenger side of my truck. At first I thought that the passenger door wasn’t closed all the way, as the sound was something like the bang it makes when the latch is loose. However, the noise was unusually loud, and it got even louder as I continued to pray.
Realizing that it might possibly be something else, I stopped praying, and the noise stopped. Thinking this a little bit weird, I looked outside my window to figure out where I was on my trip into work, and I realized I had already driven at least seven miles before the sound started. Seven miles, and then all of a sudden this door banging noise? Highway 50 is not a very smooth freeway, so I doubt I could have gone so far (even out of my neighborhood) without realizing my passenger door wasn’t closed all the way. I decided then that I would check the door when I got to work.
Immediately after pulling up into my parking space, I got out of the truck and checked the door. To my surprise the door was closed as tight as a drum. If it was closed properly, then what was the sound I’d heard? Was someone or something trying to interrupt my prayers for my Mom, and/or get my attention?
