I forgot to post this dream that occurred last week, and since something has happened in relation to it, I thought I’d better get it on our blog. I dreamed this around Monday or Tuesday last week (the first week of November 2009):
Two Visitors:
I heard a knock at my front door, and when I opened it I saw Ricardo and a woman with short dark hair standing in my doorway. Richardo is a tenant in my Mother’s apartment building, and also one of my Mom’s friends. The woman, I didn’t recognize.
In Richardo’s hand was a clip board with a piece of paper on it. After saying our “hello’s”, Ricardo looked at me and said, “I need to get you to sign this piece of paper. It is concerning the ‘incident’”. And then my alarm clock went off and I woke up.
I remember thinking, what incident? And I suppose this has to do with my Mother? Oh, my, what has she done? I then told myself that I would call her as soon as possible. Funny thing is, I did talk with my Mom, but completely forgot to ask her if anything had happened.
Then on Sunday I went by for our weekly visit and my Mom says to me, “I need to tell you about something that happened”. Immediately I wondered if it had anything to do with my dream, so I told her, “first let me tell you about a dream I had, and then we can see if they are related.” So I told her my dream and she laughed and said, “Well, that’s funny because Ricardo was there to help me.” And she went on to tell me how she fell and couldn’t get back up on her own (she had a stroke many years ago and has only use of one arm, and has also put on weight. So if she gets down on the floor, it is difficult for her to prop herself up so she can get back up). To help herself, she then pressed her “life line” button and waited for the emergency crew to come and help her.
Well, the first thing they did was call her friend, Lottie, who in turn called Ricardo. And they both let in the “life line” crew, who with some paramedics helped my Mom get up. So my dream wasn’t 100%, but there was an “incident”, and it involved my Mom, and Ricardo was also there along with another woman; Lottie. And Lottie has short hair. AND most importantly, I dreamed this BEFORE the incident happened. Perhaps I should start paying more attention to dreams like this.
